Hello! I'm Cathy

My name is Cathy... Cathy with a "C". I joke around with my mother about how she purposely spelled my name with a "C" because most of my life passions have begun with a "C": children, cakes, crossfit and Club!

I started working at Club back in 2005 as a Teacher's Aide. At the time, I just graduated from high school. I had no idea what I wanted to study, but after my first month of working at Club, I instantly knew I wanted to work with children. I eagerly completed my initial Early Childhood Education credits and was promoted to Teacher. I continued my education at San Francisco State University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. During my studies, I gained experience working with children in multiple environments: the K-5 classroom, preschool, special needs and after school programs. Within all the the environments I was gravitated to the importance of Play. I found that all the different types of Play were crucial in a child's development and I wanted to make it my priority as I continued my career of working with children.  Club has fostered that prime environment for me. I look forward to a new adventure everyday!  I find a lot of joy in providing quality care and education to the Club children and their families.

My life outside of Club includes my other passions.  I enjoy expressing my creativity with baking and making custom cakes at P.S. I Cake You.  I also love experiencing the joys (and challenges) of motherhood with my three kids, Bradlee (6), Camdyn (4), & Avery (1). Overall, I enjoy living life to its fullest.  Thank you for taking the time to learn about me!  I hope to hear more about you and your child when I see you at Club!
